Baby Pacheco

Baby Pacheco

A day before I moved to New York I found out that I was pregnant. It was quite a shock as I wasn't really thinking that I was preggo but, took a test and it was positive. I was excited, overwhelmed and stressed all at the same time. I had wanted to be pregnant but preferred if it was after it was I had been living in New York for awhile and had some stuff figured out first. However, life doesn't always go with your set plan and I'm happy it didn't!

I will admit that this pregnancy has been quite different than how I felt with Kayla. Having moved to New York in the middle of winter when it is super cold, and being nauseous all day everyday didn't make New York seem like that great of a place. But now that I have passed through the worst of the morning sickness (more like all day sickness) things are getting MUCH better. My mood constantly improves as the temperatures climb here in the city :)

I am due September 19th, have finally gotten over the morning sickness. I wouldn't say I've craved a certain type of food more than others, but have had desires to try a bunch of things I never thought I would (like crab cakes, breaded fish, falafel...) Sometimes it turns out good, and sometimes not. Throughout this whole pregnancy I have felt like the baby was gunna be a boy. I wasn't really certain with Kayla, but with this one I was. I was going to be super surprised it ended up being a girl. We went in for an ultrasound on Tuesday and while I am 14 weeks along, she said she was 80% certain the sex was male for the baby. After a few more checks and with the baby moving around like crazy it was looking more and more like that was definitely true! I know that most babies can look like they are boys when it is really early, so we will find out for sure when I have the 20 week ultrasound, but I'm still pretty certain its a boy.

We are super excited to be having another baby and know that once Kayla "gets it" she will be super excited to have a brand new baby around the house.
